A precious flower bud

Clove is the dried, fully developed but unopened flower buds of the Myrtaceae family's evergreen tree Syzygium aromaticum. Flower buds are light in color in their early stages of growth before becoming green and eventually developing into bright-red clove buds at the time of harvesting. “Clove” is derived from the Latin word for nail, clavus (because of its shape).

Tasting notes of Clove

Cloves are one of the most flavorful spices: high-quality cloves contain 15-20% essential oil. The aromatic component "eugenol," which accounts for up to 85 percent of the essential oil composition, is responsible for cloves' distinctive taste. Cloves can also give you a numbing feeling in your mouth. This is because cloves contain eugenol, a natural anesthetic that was traditionally used to numb and relieve toothache.

Cloves are a highly appreciated spice that is well known for their medicinal and culinary properties all over the world. Cloves are well-known for their antibacterial and calming effects, as well as their distinct flavor, and it is reasonable to state that the taste of cloves is unlike any other in the world.

Clove stems are also a precious product of Syzygium aromaticum the same importance as clove buds.
